I took the 7.00am Eurostar London St Pancras to Brussels train today and found check in to be straight forward and quick. Before boarding the train I entered the departure lounge, which is underneath the main concourse and is not that glamorous. The only thing to look at is row after row of metal support posts, one coffee shop (massive queue, 1 serving) and one paper shop (WH Smiths, 1 serving, another queue). The train itself was quick and efficient and I was very impressed with the actual service. The carriages themselves were variable though in that some had power points for laptops but others (mine) didn’t.In essence though I loved it and will avoid flying as much as possible by using this new fantastic service.
