We got round to booking up our summer holiday at the weekend. This year we have decided on a two week hotel resort and spa holiday in Cuba. The website states that it is a refined and sophisticated five star adult only resort and one of the finest in Varadero. Situated on a white sandy beach it has its own tropical gardens and great views out to the Caribbean. There is little by the way of noise or nightlife in the resort and all we’ll be able to do is relax, eat, drink, take in some spa treatments, catch the sun and if time allows, do a little excercise… 
We’re not entirely sure what the security arrangements are like over there, but one thing we definitely want to squeeze in, is some sight seeing around Cuba itself rather than just stay on the resort.
We are going in June and the in-laws have already agreed to house sit and look after the putty cats. So the only thing left to do now, is lose about two stone in weight so when I’m lying on the beach I don’t get mistaken for marine life and helped back into the sea!
