I found myself re-visiting the Terra Mediterranean Restaurant and Bar on Cleveland Street in London Tuesday evening for dinner.  With a colleague  I arrived around 7.30pm to find the place half full.  We took a small table for two and were quickly offered the menu.  I went for the sirloin steak with chips and salad, while my colleague went for the lamb, served up on mashed potato.  To drink we picked a bottle of house red, which was reasonable on the palette.

Our food soon arrived and my sirloin steak was awful.  Tough, rubbery and covered in an overpowering peppercorn sauce.  What a shame, as the last time, I had been here, the food was OK.  I left most of it and because I was so tired, could not even be bothered to tell the waiter who enquired when he saw my plate still mostly full, if everything was alright.

To be fair, though the service was good and friendly and the place seemed clean and professionally run.
