We called on Moorland Nurseries, Forest Moor Road, Knaresborough yesterday as we wanted to buy some bits and pieces for our Jewel fish tank which we had bought there some years earlier.
I don’t know exactly what it is about this place but within minutes of getting in there I just want to get out as quickly as possible. I don’t know if it is all the ‘barking order’ signs, the ‘miserable gaunt looking staff’ or the ‘grinding rude clientele’ who wander around looking lost, but something really gets to me.
The fish supplies area was looking depressed with no one on the till and the staff all huddled in a room at the back. The garden centre till area was equally deserted and you had to hollow for service..
Despite our better judgement, Paul did indeed buy some seeds and we left pretty much depressed by the place.
